The last three weeks have brought us to the point where the actual construction can begin! Old tiling, carpeting, and fixtures have been removed and/or stored. We have one set of restrooms and the gym beginning to really see some changes!
We are so grateful to the parents and our community members for helping to keep children safely away from the property as equipment and materials arrive on site! Safety is always our number one priority!
The portables are in place and scheduled to be ready for "occupancy" by mid-July.
Our custodians are working hard to get the building and the portables ready for our students! Thanks to Mr. Mark, Ms. Minnie, Mr. Terry, and Mr. Danny! :)

Parent Information Meeting
There will be a parent information meeting about the renovation to be held at 5:15 p.m. (before the Band and Orchestra Concert) on Tuesday, May 24 in the library. We hope you'll join us to look at the architect's plans and hear what you and your students may inspect as the renovation occurs.

The Beginning.....
As you know, Mary Todd Elementary School is about to undergo a major renovation starting the day school is out and continue for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 years. Several portable classrooms are scheduled to be delivered for preperation by July 1, 2011. The process of class reassignments has been started and hope to be concluded shortly.
